Message from the Owner

The logo of hotel GOCO stay represents Kyoto’s grid-pattern “Tanoji District” stylized to incorporate the letters of GOCO. The historical central area of Kyoto (the area surrounded by the streets Shijo-dori, Kawaramachi-dori, Oike-dori, and Karasuma-dori), where the city’s vitality and charm are highlighted, is represented in the logo, along with a star placed where the hotel is located. Staying here gives you the chance to “go around” from the very center of Kyoto.

Our guestrooms were designed based on the concept of “Convenient Plus Comfortable,” furnished with facilities and equipment to create a relaxing space where you can enjoy even a long stay in incredible comfort.

The hotel’s operating company, Konishi Shoten, began as a soy sauce retailer in 1912 and has carved its niche in the history of Kyoto along with the neighborhood of Goko-machi. The “Maruten Soy Sauce” signboard, made from a single piece of zelkova wood, that once adorned the shop now greets visitors at its new placement at the entrance to the hotel.

All the staff here at hotel GOCO stay are looking forward to your visit and will make every effort to ensure a comfortable stay and memorable sightseeing experience in Kyoto as you use our hotel as your starting point.
